Sri Lankan New Year Awurudu Celebrations
April 13–17, 2026 | Reitenberger Spa Medical, Mariánské Lázně
We invite you to a unique event inspired by the traditions of Sri Lanka. This April, our resort will host the Sri Lankan New Year Awurudu celebrations, one of the most important festivals of Sri Lankan culture.
Awurudu symbolizes a new beginning, prosperity, harmony, and the joy of coming together. In the Ayurvedic tradition, this period is associated with cleansing of both body and mind, as well as with wishes for health and happiness in the year ahead.
During these five days, we are preparing an authentic program led by our Sri Lankan Ayurvedic doctors, offering traditional rituals, cultural performances, tastings, and the opportunity to gain insight into Sri Lankan customs and the philosophy of Ayurveda.
The program is intended primarily for guests of our Ayurvedic stays, however selected parts will also be open to the public on Wednesday, April 15.
